Suzette ‘Sue’ Kay Wiederhoeft, age 74, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 13, 2021, at her home. Sue was the daughter to the late Ellsworth and Dorothy (Krause) Sabatke and was born on June 3, 1947, in Merrill. She attended and graduated from Merrill High School. Sue eventually met David Wiederhoeft, and the two lovingly exchanged marriage vows on July 3, 1967, in Bessemer, Michigan. Sadly, he preceded her in death on October 3, 1992.
Sue was a seamstress at Fox Point in Merrill for 35 years and enjoyed her work there. She was an excellent seamstress. She also was employed with SPI (Hurd) for about 10 years. Sue was an animal lover and enjoyed time with her cats and watching the wildlife out of her window at home. She also liked to be outside, whether it was deer hunting, fishing or working in her gardens, she enjoyed it all. Sue would also look forward to watching and racing in the local demo derbies, as well as ice racing. She was a very loving and caring woman, with an incredible work ethic and believed you should work hard, then play hard! Sue loved spending time on the water, especially going on pontoon rides, she was always up for a get together. She will be sadly missed but will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
