Marcella Hull

Marcella G. Hull, age 103, of Merrill, passed away surrounded by her children on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Pine Crest Nursing Home.  She was born June 29, 1915 to the late Otto A. & Cecilia (Buehlar) Kellner.  Marcella married Herman A. Hull at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill on June 19, 1937; he preceded her in death on September 7, 2002.

Marcella was co-owner of Ben Franklin from the 1950’s until the 1970’s and it was then sold to son Gerald.  She also worked for some time at Eddie’s Bake Shop on the West Side.  Marcella was a member of the Lionettes in Merrill, Trinity Alterguild, and a Brownie Scout Leader.  She enjoyed bowling for over 30 years.  Marcella’s hobbies included; dancing, roller skating, ice skating, Florida annual vacations, staying at the trailer by Patricia’s Lake in Minocqua, and playing cards & games.

Survivors include her loving children; Douglass (Kathy) Hull, Madison, Gerald (Sandra) Hull, Sandra Hoffman, 11 grandchildren; Bonnie, Ron, Brenda, Peggy, Wendy, Jerry Lee, Tammy, Becky, Vicky, Jesse & Brion, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren with one on the way, and many other friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Herman, son; Richard, sisters; Loretta Coone, Elayne Saeger, son in law; Harvey Hoffman, and daughter in law; Judy Hull.

Funeral will be 11 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Waid Funeral Home.  Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 9AM to 11AM at Waid Funeral home.  Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery.  Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com .
