Freja Swanson-Ritchie

December 18, 2019 — July 29, 2020

On Wednesday, July 29, 2020, Freja Avess Swanson - Ritchie peacefully passed away in her sleep.  Born on December 18, 2019, she lived to be only 7 months and 11 days old.

Freja’s favorite things in life were her parents, Asheley Swanson, Dillon Ritchie and snuggling her fuzzy pink blanket.  For such a small girl, born prematurely, she loved to eat and eat a lot, so strong for her size.  The adorable baby she was, her mother dressed her in the prettiest colors of purple, pink and peach.  Freja adored staring at shiny lights and colors.  Her eyes would sparkle, and she would be amazed by them.  She was such a loving little girl with smiles to share with anyone who crossed her path.  Everyone who met her couldn’t help absolutely loving and cherishing her bright and beautiful smiles, giggles and squeals.

The people lucky enough to witness it were her immediate family, parents: Asheley and Dillon, her siblings: Blakeson, Ennabelle, Lloyd, Ella and Dawson, her grandparents: Crystal, Glen, Brian, Tammy, Mike and Barb, great grandparents: Jack and Bea, Martha and Tom, her aunts and uncles: Anthony, Annalise, Allison, Alexander, Zoe, Anton, Zephyra, Alicia, Michael, Trevor, Brittany, Kyle, Chastity, Charlee Grace, Mike and Amber, her godparents: Chris and Michael, her cousins and many more relatives and friends.

A private family service was held at Waid Funeral Home.

Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences are encouraged and may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
