Edward R. Kienbaum, age 65, of Wausau, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Mount View Care Center in Wausau, while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services. He was born on March 8, 1955 to the late Edward H. and Elvera (Kamp) Kienbaum in the town of Corning. Ed attended and graduated from Merrill High School and went on to attend Northcentral Technical College. He met Crystal ‘Cris’ Barttelt and the two were united in marriage on May 28, 1977 in the town of Berlin. She survives.
Ed worked in the healthcare field as a monitor technician and read heart rhythms, which he did for 17 years. He and his wife also had a beef farm. Ed then remodeled their barn and started a hog farm. He enjoyed deer hunting with friends and would occasionally go fishing. During the winter months, Ed would look forward to some snowmobiling trips. He will be sadly missed.
Ed is survived by his wife: Cris Kienbaum of Wausau. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and daughter: Anna Marie Kienbaum.
Funeral Services for Ed will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 12pm at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill. Rev. Gregory Laska will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 11am until the time of the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in the Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery.
