Barbara Zimmer

Barbara Zimmer, age 58 of Merrill, died on Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was born in Merrill on September 15, 1961 to Henry & Marjorie (Wiesner) Borchardt.   She married John Zimmer on July 24, 1993.

Barbara grew up in the Merrill area, graduating from Merrill High School in 1980. She went on to NTC where she took courses for accounting. Barb most recently worked in the office for Pioneer Transportation. In her free time, she enjoyed baking and cooking. Barb was a member of the Lions Club.

Survivors include her loving husband: John, children; Jacquelyn Zimmer, Katilyn (Andy) Lau, Timothy Zimmer; brother: Edwin (Fiance, Ardith) Borchardt; mother: Marjorie Borchardt,  in-laws: James & Esther Zimmer; brothers and sisters-in-law: James Zimmer Jr., Jane Zimmer, Jeffrey (Teresa Bishop) Zimmer, Judy (Joe) Kaufmann and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry “Hank” Borchardt, sister-in-law, Barbara Borchardt and brother-in-law, Joe Zimmer.

Funeral Service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church WELS, town of Berlin.  Rev. Andrew DeGier will be officiating.  Visitation will be from 1-4 PM Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Waid Funeral Home and again from 10 AM until the time of service at the church Monday.  Burial will be Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in the town of Berlin.
