Trever Ritchie

Trever “Sheppy” LeRoy Ritchie, age 32, of Glenwood, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 15, 2021 in Chippewa Falls.
He was born on September 4, 1988 to Michael and Tammy (Boyd) Ritchie in Merrill.  He attended school and graduated from Wausau West High School.

Trever was currently working as a subcontractor installing flooring.  When he wasn’t working, he looked forward to going fishing, as well as enjoying everything about the outdoors.  He was everyone’s favorite brother, uncle and friend; he had a heart of gold.  Trever loved his children more than anything in this world and loved playing with them. He was an avid gamer and was very competitive, he was a quick leaner and mastered Mario Brothers at just 3 years old.  He enjoyed time on his rocket bikes and would always look forward to family gatherings and homecooked meals.  Trever is remembered by his loving family as a helpful, giving and loyal person that would always lend a helping hand.  He will be sadly missed, but forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Trever leaves behind his parents: Mike (Barb) Ritchie of Merrill and Tammy Boyd of Menomonie, his children, whom he adored: Quinton, Bentley and Aleenah Ritchie, brothers: Michael (girlfriend, Alexandra) Koput, Kyle (girlfriend, Jordyn) Ritchie and Dillon Ritchie, sisters: Brittney Ritchie, Chastity (boyfriend, Ricky) Ritchie and Charlee Grace Jopek, beloved nieces and nephews: Dante Louis, Tyrin Louis, BrookLynn Koput, Bjorn Koput, Landon Bernecker, Tavien Lange, Nahlah Ritchie, Mari Ritchie, Alhex and Shi Ritchie, Jayden, Kendrick and Malik Ritchie, MeAnna, Alaihna, Kingston, Nadeya and Cardi Ritchie, Lunayah, Ella and Lloyd Ritchie, half-siblings: Briana, Cody and Jurnee Robertson; grandparents: Thomas & Martha Johnson, Merrill;  along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lloyd and Marilyn Boyd, niece: Freja Ritchie, uncles: David and Randy Boyd and cousins: Damen Johnson, Jimi Busterud, Christopher Grubb and Shana and Rachel Lynn Schultz.

A private Celebration of Life for Trever will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 3pm at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill.  Rev. Amy Heimerl will officiate.  A time for visitation will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1pm until the time of the service, also at the funeral home.  A burial of Trever’s cremains will take place at a later date.

Masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home.
