Ronald D. Barritt, 69, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at his home. He was born May 9th, 1941 to the late Gordon & Georgia (Atkinson) Barritt in Alma Center, Wisconsin. He married Sharon Pagel on June 5, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ronald worked for A.O. Smith in Milwaukee, an automotive plant, assembling car frames. He retired in 2000 after 36 years of employment. Ronald enjoyed playing cards, fishing, going to the casino, going to rummage sales, collecting and selling comic books and bowling. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and played Sheephead Tuesdays at the Merrill Senior Center. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Barritt; son: Ronald R. (Kelly) Barritt; three grandchildren: Andrew and Dallas Beck and Jessica Mullins; several step-grandchildren; sister: Sandra (William) Flick, Alma Center; brothers: Thomas (Donna) Barritt, Milwaukee, Gordon ?Chuck? (Jeanne) Barritt, Atlanta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon & Georgia; daughter, Rhonda; granddaughter, Veronica; and his brother Steven. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 29, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 AM Monday before the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Memorials may be made to the family. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
