Mrs. Nina Bellin

Nina Bellin, age 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her residence in Merrill, Wisconsin. She was born on May 28, 1917, in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, to Ed and Hannah (Kraus) Smith. On February 17, 1934 she married Roy Bellin. Nina and her husband Roy farmed in the town of Pine River. Nina was an employee of Holy Cross Hospital for 23 years. She was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ in Merrill. She loved doing work for the church, traveling, fishing, sewing and reading. Happy times were visiting her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Gail (Richard) Stookey of Hobart, Indiana and Sonyia Bellin of Rockford, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Per Nina's wishes private services will be held. Interment will be at Spring Brook Cemetery in the Town of Pine River. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Stephens United Church of Christ or the charity of your choice.
