Michael "Mike" John Becker

Michael “Mike” John Becker, age 73, of Merrill, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Clinic in Weston, Wisconsin. He was born on September 29, 1950 to Donald and Jean (Kretschmer) Becker in Merrill, Wisconsin.

Mike married his first wife Donna Kallerud, together they had Mickey. They later divorced. Mike married his second wife, Kristie Krueger, together they had their daughters, Tasha and Tanya. They later divorced. Mike remained friends with both Donna and Kristie.

Throughout his life, Mike was always fixing things and if he didn’t know how he to fix something, he would figure it out. He worked as a tradesman in construction and most recently was working at Sierra Pacific. He recently moved back to Merrill in 2020 after living in Apache Junction, Arizona for 25 years.

Mike loved to hunt, fish and camp. He was a big Green Bay Packers fan as well. He was a very smart, reserved, stubborn man, who gave his mom a hard time. Mike instilled a great work ethic and organizational skills in his children. He was also an amazing cook and grill master, making the most phenomenal pancakes and grilling the best apple pie. He would always greet you with a “howdy, howdy,” and was there for you when you needed help. Mike will be deeply missed by his family.

Mike is survived by his mother, Jean Becker, children: Michael (Josie) Becker, Natasha Becker, and Tanya (Nathanial Doty) Becker, grandchildren: Zachary (Hazel) Becker, Adrianna Becker, Isaiah Reich and Jennifer Scardino, siblings: Barbara (Rick) Cortright, and Mary Woller, his first wife: Donna Kallerud, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Becker, infant brother, Phillip David Becker, brother-in-law, Robert Woller and his second wife, Kristie Krueger.

Per Mike’s wishes no services will be held. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
