Lois Weckwerth

Lois Weckwerth, age 89, of Merrill, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at Woodland Court under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services. She was born December 5, 1925 in Merrill to the late Edward and Ottile (Emanuel) Utecht. She and Wallace Henrich were united in marriage on October 9, 1948. He preceded her in death November 2, 1993. Lois then married Warren Weckwerth on February 24, 1996. He survives. Lois was a 1944 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. She worked at Holy Cross Hospital in medical records for many years. Lois then worked at Lincoln Community (County) Bank, where she eventually retired as an auditor. She enjoyed shopping and trips to the casino where she loved to play cards and gamble. Lois always seemed to be on an adventure with Warren. She was in a few different card clubs and was also a member of the golfing league and bowling league. Lois was a very loving mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. Survivors include her husband: Warren Weckwerth, Merrill; son: Dave (Dana) Henrich, Weston; daughter: Marsha Henrich, Merrill; and three grandchildren: Sean Luedtke, Miami, FL, Carly (Ryan) Hanney, St. Claire Shores, MI, and Joshua Henrich, Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Wallace Henrich, and brother, Charles Utecht. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
