Lillian Ann Kroll

Lillian Ann Kroll, age 82, of Merrill, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Woodland Court Elder Services, LLC, while under the care of the staff and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.  She was born to the late Oscar and Alice (Nelson) Wergeland.  Lillian attended and graduated from high school in Park Falls.  She met William Kroll, and the two exchanged marriage vows on January 2, 1982 in Howard, WI.  Sadly, William passed away on August 14, 2019.

Lillian worked in the bookkeeping and secretarial industry for most of her life, and was employed by Super Valu in Green Bay and Prince of Peace church in Eagle River.  She had a talent and passion for knitting and was a past president of the Northwoods Knitting Group.  Lillian was also a volunteer with the Howard- Suamico Rescue Squad, which is where she met her 2^nd husband, William.  She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and loved listening to music.  Lillian and Bill would take part in the Klondike Days in Eagle River, something they looked forward to every year.  She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time on the pontoon.  Lillian was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in the town of Pine River.  She is remembered as being an excellent caregiver, having incredible strength and always provided unconditional love.  Lillian was an honest person that was always there to support those she loved.  She looked forward to seeing her family, especially around the holidays.  Lillian will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Lillian is survived by her children: Kenneth (Jenifer) Kolar of Green Bay and Christine (Nicholas) Krzanowski of Merrill, grandsons: Zachary (Sofia) Kolar and Marshall Krzanowski, great granddaughter: Elena Kolar and sister-in-law: Gale Wergeland.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William Kroll, daughter: Valerie Kolar and brothers: Loren and Marvin Wergeland.

Per family request, no services will be held.  Interment at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.
