Kyle Kreager, 38, of Merrill lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. He was born on April 29, 1983 to Bruce Kreager and Diane Dittmar. Kyle was active in 4-H and Drama Club at Antigo High School and graduated in 2001. From there he went to college at Viterbo University in La Crosse where he started his life’s adventures. Kyle moved around sharing his infectious smile and love for life with everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with animals, being creative, baking, cooking and being with friends and family. Kyle left everyone he met with smiles and will be truly missed by all.
He met Keith Tryba of Merrill and the two sparked a relationship together. They enjoyed snuggling on the couch watching movies, reclaiming old items, fun trips to local casinos and Las Vegas, spending time with friends, planting flowers in the back yard, and projects around the house. They just enjoyed doing things together. They shared a passion of caring for animals which led them to help rescue many puppies from Texas. They married September 13, 2020.
He leaves behind his husband, Keith Tryba; mother, Diane Dittmar; brother, Kip (Sarah) Kreager; two nephews, Cassius & Finntan; grandmother, Esther Dittmar, numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his father, some grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
The family wishes to express a deep gratitude to everyone that has helped in the last year with Kyle’s battle.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to bring an item to Waid Funeral Home to donate to Lincoln County Humane Society on or before the service date, or make a monetary donation in memory of Kyle as he had a deep passion for saving and caring for animals .
Funeral services for Kyle will take place at 4 PM on Friday, August 13th at Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Stevenson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of service, also at the funeral home. Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
