Juliane "Judy" Rice

Juliane “Judy” Rice, age 63, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family under the care of Interim Hospice & Pallative Services.  She was born on September 25, 1954 in Merrill to the late William W. and Margaret (Rowe) Rice.

Juliane worked for many years as a hairdresser.  She enjoyed her flower garden and watching the humming birds.  Juliane loved the outdoors, liked to go camping, and four wheeling.  She had an infectious personality, loved to help people whenever able and would spend quality time with the grandchildren.  She is a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  We will always remember her as someone who was a “jack of all trades “.  Juliane was a truly caring and loving person that will be missed by many.

Juliane is survived by her loving husband: Jim Rice of Merrill, WI, daughter’s: Tracey (Brian) Schroder, Jessica (Brad) Berndt, son: Mark (Jennifer) Hamsing of Hamburg, grandchildren: Austin Berndt, Mark Hamsing Jr., Jacob Hamsing, Stephanie Schroder, Megan Schroder, Sister’s: Tina Rainville, Terry (Harvey) Thomaschefsky,  Robin (Peter) Tomajcik, Peggy (Douglas) Holtz, brother’s: William (Tammy) Rice, Corrie (Vicki) Rice: many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, niece: Jolene Rainville, great niece & nephew: Derek & Amber Sabatke.

Funeral Services will be 11AM on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Pastor Kenneth Albers will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 9 AM until the time of service at church.  Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
