John R. Burrow Jr., age 66, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 6, 1957 to the late John and Gladys (Bouchard) Burrow Sr. in Orlando, FL. John attended and graduated from the Rancho High School in Las Vegas. He went on to further his education by going to college for welding and blueprint reading. He married Brenda Boykins in Tomahawk, WI on July 22, 1989. She survives.
John was a truck driver in Fargo for the Berg, Grain & Produce Company for many years. He enjoyed working on his cars, and going for bike rides on his Harley Davidson. John liked to go fishing and doing yardwork at his home. He would go to car races every chance he had! John was a huge help to his neighbors, and would help them with various jobs, including snow blowing. He is lovingly remembered by his family as a funny man, that was also very creative and strong-willed. John will be sadly missed, but always in the hearts of his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife: Brenda Burrow, sons: David Burrow, John (Amber) Burrow III and Daniel Burrow, daughter: Christina Beyer, step-sons: Justin (Nicole) Boykins, Cliff (Brandy) Varner, Jason and Joshua Miller, grandchildren: Joanne, Craig, Addison, Valerie, Broghan and Zyin, sister: Joyce (Ken) Burrow, brother: James (Jen) Burrow, along with many extended family members. He is further survived by his cousin and best friend: Tony Moser. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Barry Burrow.
A Celebration of Life for John will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Waid Funeral home.
