Jacqueline "Jackie" M. (Kaiser) Much, of Marion, formerly of Merrill, died Thursday, August 13, peacefully at


her home under the care of Thedacare Hospice.


Jackie was born May 29, 1950 in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Eugene and Arlene (Kloss) Nelson.


Jackie attended and graduated from North High School in Eau Claire and attended UW Eau Claire. Jackie


married James Kaiser August 24, 1969, he preceded her in death March 5, 2005. Jackie later married Gary Much at St. Peters Church in Big Falls, on February 10, 2006.


She worked for the Wausau Daily Herald as a district manager for many years, in addition she was a foster


parent for 13 years for over 200 children. Jackie also worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Outlet for 5 years prior to


moving to Marion. She was a member of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary # 584. Jackie truly enjoyed spending


time with her family, her flower and vegetable gardens, fishing, hunting, knitting and cleaning. Jackie had a love for


her dogs, Winnie and Winston.

grandchildren: Justin, Kristen, Alan, Erin, Marissa, Jamie, Dyllin, Evan and Aiden


step grandchildren: Makayla and Madeline Much,


mother: Arlene Nelson,


brother: Brad Nelson


sister: Cindy (Scott) Rood


godson: Matthew, many nieces and nephews.


she was preceded in death by: her first husband James Kaiser, father: Eugene Nelson, and grandmother Bernice M. Kloss.


Funeral service will be 5 pm, Monday, August 17, 2009 at the Waid Funeral Home in Merrill. The Rev. Janice Kuder of St. Peters Church in Big Falls  will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 3 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. The Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. Online tributes maybe made at
