Gary Messerschmidt

Gary R. Messerschmidt, 60, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, at home from a heart attack.  Gary was born in Merrill, WI on April 10, 1957, the son of Ronald and Joyce (nee: Hill) Messerschmidt. He was preceded in death by his father on July 22, 2013.  Surviving are his mother Joyce, significant other Sally Severt, grandsons Landon (Best Buddy) and Dakota, adoptive sons Steve and Bill, daughter Rebecca (David) Bruck, granddaughter Venice, of Seattle WA, siblings, Keith (Linda) Messerschmidt, of Green Valley, AZ, Cathy (Michael) Christman, niece Brittany, of Sturtevant WI,  and his faithful companion, Smokey.  Gary was also preceded in death by J. Allen and Chris Severt.  Gary retired from truck driving after many years over the road.

Visitation will be on April 27th from 5pm – 7pm at St. John Lutheran Church with a short prayer to follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to “Sally Severt” in care of Waid Funeral Home.
