Delores Stickler

Delores Stickler, best known to everyone as "Deets", gained her angel wings on January 26, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield, WI, at the young age of 70.
She was born on November 15, 1945, in Merrill, WI. to the late Louis and Irene Stickler. She graduated from Merrill Senior High School where she was Vice President of the Girls Athletic Association. Deets was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her hands were always busy crocheting beautiful afghans, doilies, towels, slippers and baby blankets and hats for family and friends. Deets loved to play pool, sing karaoke, hunt, fish, camping, host concerts and cheer on her Green Bay Packers. She also fulfilled a lifelong dream, in 2015, of going to an Eagle's concert with her best friend Debi "Tootie" Pregnot. From Heaven she is watching over her children, Scott Leonhardt of Merrill, Craig Leonhardt of Wausau, Terri Marten (Bart Holtz) of Wausau and Jennifer Stanley of La Crosse; her ten grandchildren, Shana Marten, Travis Smith, Christopher (Kaylee) Leonhardt, Paige Plaza (Jeff Johnson), Marissa Stanley, Caleb, Ethan and Ayden Leonhardt and Brenna and Baylee Holtz; her five great grandchildren, Joseph, Mila and Luna Lee Leonhardt, Kenley Smith, Braedyn Johnson; her three sisters, Edith Noggle, Sue Woller, Chris Roberts; and her two brothers Rusty (Patty) Stickler and Ray (Doris) Stickler. She was met at the gates of Heaven by her parents Louis and Irene Stickler along with her brother's Louis Jr. and Dave and her sister's Alice, infant Mary and infant Shirley.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life from 11:30 to Noon at Waid Funeral Home, 301 Eagle Drive, Merrill, WI. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
