David Medina

David Medina, age 59, died on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his residence in Merrill, while under the care of Asera Care Hospice. David was born on October 2, 1956, to Jose Martinez and Mary Medina in New York, NY. He married Joann Hildebrandt on November 1, 2004, in Merrill, WI. She survives. David worked as a truck driver for Great Lakes Western, Inc, out of Merrill, for many years. He was a hard-working man and was very proud of his work ethic. He is remembered as a loyal man. In his past time, David would enjoy tinkering with his R/C planes and helicopters. He participated in some of the events put on by the R/C Flyer Club in Merrill. David would also enjoy watching the annual Fall Ride, he liked seeing all of the motorcycles. David is survived by his wife: Joann Medina of Merrill, son: Chris (Elise) Medina of Bealeton, Virginia, step-son: Joshua Hildebrandt of Merrill, step-daughter: Melissa (Jeremy) Anderson of Ely, Iowa, grandchildren: Micheyla and Joseph, step great-grandchildren: Kylie, Aiden, Chris and Dylan, and his dear friend and previous employer: Delmer (Tracey) Polak. There will be no services. Family and friends wish to thank Dr. Rezwan Islam and his staff at Marshfield Clinic Oncology for the excellent care that they provided to David during these last few months.
