David Lee

January 17, 1940 — January 9, 2021

David Grant Lee, age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center, Weston. He was born on January 17, 1940 to the late Frank W. Lee & Frieda A. Lechelt in Merrill. David married Kathryn Ann Kluetz on November 29, 1958. She survives.

David graduated from Merrill High School in 1958. He was employed as a construction worker/mason with J&J Lee Construction until retirement.

David is survived by his wife Kathryn (Katie), children: Michael & Mary Lee, DePere, WI, Laurie Lee, Timothy (Tim) & Nina Lee, Patricia (Patti) & William (Bill) VanStrydonk, Andrew (Andy) and Bobbi Lee, Sara & Andrew (Andy) Stiver, Kristina & Aaron Boquist, all of Merrill, siblings; John (Joyce) Lee & Judith Chartier, both of Merrill. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother James R Lee.

In his earlier years David enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and enjoyed mason work. After retiring he had many pastimes such as reading, playing pool, playing cards and watching the Packers. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren the most. He was a tremendous family man.

A private family funeral service for David will be held Friday January 15, 2021 at Waid Funeral Home in Merrill.
