Charles DuVall

August 23, 1949 — March 16, 2017

"Papa Chuck" would want everyone to know, his work here on earth is done. On Thursday, March 16, 2017, Charles DuVall completed his journey among us here, and at 67 years young he was reunited with parents Everett and Agnes DuVall, and his sister and brother in-law Carrie and Dennis Slater. On August 23 1949 Chuck started his journey on this blue ball. He lived a joyous and exciting life. He joined the Army in 1967 and made the rank of Corporal during his adventurous career. In 1972 he married the love of his life, his beautiful bride, Debbie. Together they raised three biological children, and many unrelated children they call "the adopted kids". With the children starting families, Chuck was promoted to Papa Chuck…oh man did he love the grandkids! Even with so many loved ones around him, his faith in God was his rock in life. He faithfully progressed from our grasps when it was his time to continue forward on his journey to eternal life. Chuck loved everyone very much! He didn't want anyone saddened by his absence. He wants his beautiful wife, Debbie DuVall, his kids, Dawn(Jesse) Federick, April(Scott) Brenchley, John(Peggy Sue) DuVall, as well as their adopted kids, their grandkids: William, Miss Katie and little Lana, as well as the remainder of his family and friends to celebrate the life he shared with us. He knew his time here was too short, and he is waiting for all of us to complete our work here, and be reunited again in eternal life. A private funeral service and burial for Chuck will be held at a later date. Waid Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
