Alvera M. Lupton, age 83, died September 4, 2014 at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice Services. Alvera was born to Elmer and Clara(Schacht) Patefield on July 17, 1931 in Merrill. She married Clifford J. Lupton on August 22, 1953. Alvera worked as a seamstress at Fox Point Sportswear for 25 years. She loved to sew at home as well, making dresses and coats. She loved to travel, read and spend time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clifford, one son Alan(Jole) Lupton of Merrill, two daughters, Joleen Nass of Merrill, Darlene(Brian) Miller of Tomahawk, two grandchildren, Lori Nass of Merrill, Becky(Michael) Rindt of Merrill, two step-grandchildren, James Miller of Tomahawk, Amy Miller of Portage, two great grandchildren Haley and Kelsey Rindt of Merrill, one sister, Marlene Borelli of Merrill, and many nieces and nephews. Alvera was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Clara, one son Mark, sisters, Jeanette, Velma, Lenice, Ethel, and Lois, and one brother, Elmer. Private services will be held Monday, September 8, 201 at Waid Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Carnes officiating and burial at Merrill Memorial Park. Family would like to thank Pine Crest Nursing Home and their staff, especially the special care unit, as well as Ministry Home Care Hospice Services for taking wonderful care of Alvera.
