Alan "Al" D. Kelly, age 52, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his residence in Schofield, WI. He was born to the late John and Dolores (Sibbert) Kelly on October 9, 1963 in Merrill, WI. Al attended and graduated from Merrill High School. He was a former employee of S.N.E in Mosinee. He then went on to earn his C.N.C. certification and continued to work at various manufacturers in the area. . Al was an avid sports fan. He followed Nascar, the Packers, and the Badgers. He also liked to play Texas Hold 'Em, online and would invite family and friends to join him. Anyone who knew him, knew that he was a comical guy with a knack for telling humorous stories. Al had a great sense of humor. He was a very gentle man who was very caring and loving. He will be sadly missed missed by family and friends, especially his friends from Down the Hill Bar. Al is survived by his brothers: Bruce (Maryann) Kelly of West Bend and Jim (Amy) Kelly of Green Bay, sisters: Lynn (Don) Genrich of Hatley and Jan (Mike) Perry of Merrill, nieces and nephews: Shaun (Stacy) Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Brendan (Meg) Kelly, Mollie Perry, Christopher Perry, Mitchell Kelly and Brad Kelly. He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Dolores (Sibbert) Kelly. A Funeral Liturgy for Al will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Waid Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 until time of service, also at the funeral home. Deacon Jim Arndt will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Waid Funeral Home of Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
