Patricia Bushar

December 31, 1926 ~ January 9, 2019 (age 92)

Patricia Ann (Brown) Bushar, age 92, of Merrill, passed away peacefully in hospice care on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.   She was born December 31, 1926 to the late David J. and Margaret A. (Pommorin) Brown.  Patricia married Arnold P. Bushar on February 26, 1945 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill.  He preceded her in death on February 6, 1965.

Patricia’s career life consisted of working at Hanson Glove, People’s IGA, Lincoln Hills and Family Medical Clinic.  She had many hobbies that included; doing puzzles, sewing, knitting, crocheting, growing flowers and some volunteer work.  Patricia belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary #1638 and was a life-long member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bloomville. 

Survivors include her 9 children: Doreen (David) Viesselmann of Merrill, Lynn (James) Wolff of Gleason, Arnold Bushar, Dawn Winchell, Bruce Bushar, Pamela Wopp (James Banasik), all of Merrill, Mary (David) Frederick of Owen, Peggy Bowen (Tony Malzahn) and Holly Bushar (Peter Ellenbecker), both of Merrill, 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother: David A. Brown and many other relatives.

Preceded in death by: her parents, husband: Arnold P. Bushar, sisters: Phyllis Braatz and Sally Paul, brother: Peter Brown and grandsons: Phillip and Jeffrey Bushar.

Memorial Mass for Patricia will be 11 AM on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bloomville.  Fr. Chris Kemp is celebrant.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 from 10 AM until the time of service at church.  Burial will take place at a later date.

Special thanks to the staff at Ascension Ministry Hospital in Merrill, Ministry Home Care, Pine Crest Nursing Home staff and the members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
