Vernette Fabiszewski

Vernette "Nettie" Fabiszewski, 80, of Merrill, formerly of Tomahawk, died Tuesday, April 14 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.



Nettie was born to the late Herman & Anna (Krueger) Kleinschmidt on May 1, 1928 in the Town of Corning. She was a 1947 graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. After graduating, she worked as a payroll clerk at Wonder Bread. Nettie married the late Edmund Fabiszewski on May 12, 1949. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran church of Tomahawk.



She is preceeded in death by her parents, her husband Edmund, 5 sisters; Esther Raasch, Ila Schmidt, Viola Lehrbaummer, Adelia Kottke, Helen Kleinschmidt, 2 brothers; Ben Kleinschmidt & Kurt Kleinschmidt, and 1 great Granddaughter Elizabeth.



Survivors include her son, Don Fabiszewski of Anchorage Alaska, daughter Emily (Peter) Scheffler of Tomahawk, 2 Grandchildren; Paul (Jessica) Scheffler also of Tomahawk, and William Scheffler of Madison, 10 Great Grandchildren; Jessica, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Karli, Elijah, Isaiah, Dakota, Malachi, Kale & Logan, and several nieces and nephews.



Services will be held Sunday, April 19 at 3:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tomahawk, Pastor Mark Gass to officiate. Visitation will be Saturday, April 18 from 4-8 PM at Waid Funeral Home and again before the service on Sunday from 1 - 3 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Burial will be Monday at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church of Tomahawk or to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
