Ronald Thomas Tracey



Ronald Thomas Tracey went to meet our Heavenly Father October 31, 2010 at Ministry St. Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. Ronald was born December 16, 1936 in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin to the late Harold & Edith (Wolfe) Tracey. He married Mary Jane Seidler April 22, 1961 in Milwaukee. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th Anniversary next April.



Ronald is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; four children: John (Barb) Tracey of Gleason, Carolyn (Mike) Frahm of Appleton, WI, David (Kari) Tracey of Portage, WI, and Daniel (Laurie) Tracey of Tomahawk; eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Kalie, Shawn, Brianna, Ty, Logan, Laken and Michael; two sisters: Donna Gifford of Greenfield, WI and Eileen Williams of West Allies, WI, and many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Tracey, mother, Edith Tracey Belanger, step-father, Leonard Belanger and brother, Kenneth Tracey.



Ronald served in the Marine Reserves and was a Naval Psychiatric Corps Man from 1957 to 1960 when he was honorably discharged. He earned his associates degree in Traffic Analysis from Fox Valley Tech. Ronald was employed at Appleton Paper from 1962 until his retirement. He enjoyed camping with his family, flower gardening, hunting with his sons and zipping through town on his motor scooter. Ronald was active in churches throughout his life serving on councils and as financial secretary. He will be remembered for his loving nature and his keen sense of humor.



Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Gleason. The Rev. Don King will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Waid Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gleason Cemetery, with graveside military rites by VFW Post #1638. Serving as Pall Bearers are: John Tracey, David & Ty Tracey, Daniel Tracey, Mike Tracey, Paul Murray and Nick Burnett. A Memorial has been established in his name for Special Olympics.
