Norman Duginski

Norman S. Duginski, 72, Merrill, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice.

Norman was born on April 11, 1937, in Merrill, to the late Stanley and Harriet (McKinnon) Duginski. He married Lila Taylor in Merrill on August 31, 1958.

Norman worked for GTE for 35 years as a telephone installer / repairman. He enjoyed baseball, hunting, and horseshoes. He especially enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. He was a member of St. Francis Church, a bowling league, Golden ‘M’ Club and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and 4 ^th degree color guard. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Lila, Merrill, children: Dick (Arlene), Merrill, Joe (Lori), Colby, and Pat, Tomahawk; 7 grandchildren: Daniel, Jamie, Amanda, Jennifer (Tim) Krueger, Matthew, Mollie and Joseph; 2 great grandchildren; Dameon, and Kaylee; brother: Raymond (Doris), DeRitter, LA, and sister: Ruth (Elroy) Kleinschmidt, Belgium , WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Richard.

Services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Church. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Waid Funeral Home. A 4 ^th degree Knights of Columbus service will be held Friday at the funeral home at 7:00 PM, with visitation again Saturday 10 am until the time of service at the church.  The Rev. Joseph Kleinheinz will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Knights of Columbus scholarship fund. Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
