Martha Beyersdorff

Martha M. Beyersdorff, age 93, of Merrill, died July 5, 2010 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was born July 31, 1916 in the town of Scott , Lincoln County , the daughter of the late Herman and Minnie (Baguhn) Grunenwald. She married Herman Beyersdorff on September 24, 1938 in Merrill. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1981.

Martha attended school in the town of Scott . She worked for Merrill Candy Company and Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Merrill. Martha was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Merrill where she was active in several bible classes, the Mission Circle , Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, the Fellowship Group and the St. John Fair Stand. Martha enjoyed gardening and playing cards.

She is survived by 1 foster daughter; Lucille (Jerry) Kufahl of Shawano, 4 foster grandchildren; Debbie (Steve) Theis of Shawano, Kevin (Carolyn) Kufahl of Watertown, David (Amy) Kufahl of Neenah and Rebecca (Jim) Trudeau of Appleton. 10 foster great-grandchildren, 2 nieces; Margaret ( Eugene ) Munro of Markesan and Sharon (John) Burgener of Merrill, and 3 nephews; Ralph Schulz, Harold (Pat) Schulz and Roger Schmidt all of Merrill.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, one foster son, Milton Schulz, 3 sisters; Delilah Bloch, Gerda Schmidt and Ruth Grunenwald, one brother, Albert Grunenwald and one niece, Gertrude Jaegers.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 8, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church . The Rev. David Szeto will officiate. Burial will take place in Merrill Memorial Park .
