Karen Mueller

Karen Mueller was called to her heavenly home on November 13th, 2013, at the age of 55. She was born on March 19th, 1958 in Merrill, Wisconsin. She was adopted as a baby and spent most of her life mainly in Appleton and Milwaukee. During her life, she organized drives to collect food, blankets, etc. for various organizations wherever she lived. She believed in God and living a christian lifestyle. She had a love for nature, especially birds of both the indoor and outdoor type. Her home was never without a parakeet or two. Her best friend, Jesse, a gray cockatiel, later found a mission as a best friend to an autistic young man. Other interests that Karen had were writing poetry (especially christian-based), painting ceramics for herself and friends. She also treasured antique items, especially a collection of books that dated back to 1899. Karen would like to extend a thank you to all of her family and friends in Merrill (known and unknown) and to Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI for all of their love and support. She also gives a kudos and "well done" to the Pine Crest Nursing Home for their outstanding care and unconditional love, and to Nicole for making all days Happy, Happy, Happy! God bless all of you! The burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park on Monday, November 18th at 12pm. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah on Friday, November 22nd at 11am with Pastor Schroeder officiating. Waid Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
