Holly Schinke

Holly L. Schinke, age 33, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was born December 16, 1981 in Neenah, WI to Marlin and Diana (Baake) Rice. On May 1, 2010 she and Heath Schinke were united in marriage at St. John Lutheran Church in Merrill. Holly graduated from Merrill High School. She earned her degree in respiratory therapy and was currently working at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Ministry Saint Mary's in Rhinelander and was a preceptor for MSTC helping the students with their practical's all while attending UWSP, about to complete her bachelor degree. Holly loved spending time with her two girls making pottery and enjoyed being a "dance mom" taking the girls to all their dance classes. Between work and school, she always found time to make cookies and cupcakes with the girls. Survivors include her mother: Diane Rice, Merrill; husband: Heath Schinke, Merrill; two daughters: Claudia Ray Schinke and Paige Addison Schinke, Merrill; two brothers: Justin (Carey) Rice, Merrill, and Jason Rice, Waupaca; sister: Joanna Cook, Waupaca; father and mother-in-law: George & Linda Schmidt, Antigo; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, uncle Corey, and father-in-law, Glenn Schinke. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church. Rev. Nathan Kramer will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
