Helen Kienbaum

Helen Kienbaum, 87, Merrill, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Pine Crest Nursing Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was born November 4, 1922, in Tripoli to the late William and Neva (Bromley) Tracy. Helen married Norman Kienbaum February 20, 1947 in Merrill. She worked at Merrill Manufacturing, Weinbrenner and later as a Home Health Aide with Lincoln County Social Services for many years. Helen enjoyed reading, crocheting, and doing crafts. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church . Helen especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Treva (Barry) Schmidt, Merrill; three grandchildren: Desmond Schimdt, Cara (Teddy) Ballard, and Brandon (Sara) Schmidt; five great grandchildren: Elizabeth and Abby Schmidt, Caleb Stoeckmann, Hayden Ballard and Sophia Schmidt; sister-in-law Marcella Tracy and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Gail, Neil, Robert and William Tracy; sister Evelyn Kleinschmidt and her husband, Norman.

Services will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Pine Crest Nursing Home. Friends may call from 9:30 until the time of service. The Rev. Kelly Leary will officiate. Burial to follow at Merrill Memorial Park . The family has requested donations be made to St. John Lutheran School . Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
