Harold Stoeckmann

Harold L. Stoeckmann, age 90. Of Merrill died on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Harold was born on April 14, 1924 in the town of Pine River to the late Albert and Grace (Dichraff) Stoeckmann. He was united in marriage to Irene C. Duley on September 25, 1948. Harold worked on his dad's farm until he sold it and then he drove truck for Wisconsin Window Unit Company for over 15 years. He worked for Wausau Construction Company and as a subcontractor for many years. Harold enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and traveling. He was known for his sense of humor and loved his family and grandchildren. He was an Elder and then an usher in Trinity Lutheran Church for many years, served on the board of Evangelism and was a member of the Men's Club.
Harold is survived by his wife, Irene, Merrill, children; Michael Stoeckmann, Anoka, MN, Richard (Ann) Stoeckmann, Merrill, Daniel Stoeckmann, Merrill, Gary (Linda) Stoeckmann, Pelahatchie, MS, sister Dorothea La Masga, Chisago City, MN, brother, Robert (Elisabeth)Stoeckmann, Keene, NH, brother, Roger (Carol) Stoeckmann, McFarland, WI, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many other relatives. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brother, George, two sisters; Ruth Dallman and Helen Oestman, two brothers in law, George Duley and Walter Duley, and sisters in law, Elaine Duley and Edna Manke , brother in law, Elmer Manke, brothers in law, Herbert Hafemeister and Frank La Musga. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of service at church. Rev. Scott Gustafson will be officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in the town of Pine River. Special Thanks to all the staff at Pine Crest and Aspirus Wausau Hospital ICU for the great care given to Harold.
