Florence Zastrow

Florence Zastrow, age 78, of Merrill, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on October 19, 1935 in Merrill, the daughter of the late James P. and Mary E. (Collins) Duginski. Florence was married to William R. Zastrow from 1954-1964. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2014 in Montana. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Florence attended school in Merrill. Florence enjoyed many past times including reading, finding treasures at rummage sales, playing Bingo and Friday night Fish Fries. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Florence loved visiting Council Grounds and enjoyed gardening and fishing in the summertime. She truly enjoyed meeting new people and was known for looking for the good in everyone. Most of all, Florence enjoyed spending time with her family who she loved and cherished. Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Zastrow and Teresa Zastrow, Kalispell, MT; Katie (Dave) Morrison Merrill; two sons, Glen Zastrow, Palmer, AK and David Zastrow (Shannon) Wausau, WI; eleven grandchildren, Nathaniel, Amanda, Sophia, Kristin, Alan, Lisa, David Jr, Justin, Troy, Madeline and Max; nine great-grandchildren Tyla, Orion, D'Angelo, Tayvia, Ava, Jayden, Julian, Ava, and Adriana; three brothers, Andrew Duginski, Merrill, Eugene Duginski, Belgium, WI, and Vince Duginski, Merrill; and two sisters, Esther Wendorf, Schofield, and Rosie Hoffman, Merrill. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant twin sisters, Alice & Helen Duginski, daughter, Gail Marie Zastrow, grandson, Benjamin Zastrow, two brothers, Matthew Duginski and Leonard Duginski, and two sisters, Irene Kulawinski and Lorraine Trantow. Funeral Liturgy will be held 5PM Saturday, May 10 at Waid Funeral Home Chapel. Sister John Marie will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3-5PM also at the funeral home.
