Elfrieda Rajek

Elfrieda Rajek, age 92 of Merrill, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Elfreida was born January 22, 1918 in Merrill the daughter of the late Edward and Wilhelmina (Heirsey) Waldenburg. Elfreida married Lawrence Rajek, September 7, 1937 in Seattle , Washington , Lawrence preceded her in death, July 4, 1991. Together Elfreida and Lawrence farmed in the Town of Russell for 25 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, bird watching, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Science Society in Merrill.

3 grandchildren: Todd (Angela) Rajek, Rapid City , South Dakota ,

Andy (Amy) Rajek, Daphne, Alabama ,

Lisa (Bob) Brula, Lakeville , MN ,

8 great grandchildren: Hailea, Ashtin, Madison, Briana, Natalie, Reese, Logan, Katelynn

Sister: Jean (Don) Becker,

Nephew: David (Edna) Jackson, and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and their wives Gerald and Dorothy Kretschmer and Cy and Elsie Waldenburg.

Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 pm Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Waid Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Merrill Memorial Park . The Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
