She was born on October 3, 1921 to the late William and Louise (Neuendank) Barden in the town of Easton, WI. Catherine attended elementary school in the town of Easton, WI. She met Howard Nutter and the two exchanged vows on June 27, 1942 in Wausau, WI. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2004. Catherine was a housewife and farmer for most of her adult life. She would enjoy some quiet, relaxing time working on her needlepoint or plastic canvas. Catherine loved flowers, here favorite being red roses, which her husband would often bring home for her. She would spend time tending to her gardens when the weather was nice. Catherine and Howard would enjoy spending time with each other playing dominos. She enjoyed having her own "Happy Hour", where she could just relax with a cocktail or two. When she was able, she would travel. She would enjoy traveling throughout the country and over-seas. Catherine was able to see a lot of beautiful country. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill. Catherine was a loving, caring and forgiving woman that will be sadly missed. Catherine is survived by her son: Raymond (A. Kay) Nutter of Minocqua, daughters: Carol Raymer (Lawrence Haugen) of Merrill and Debbie (Curt) Mouldenauer of Milwaukee, sister: Helen Barden of Ringle, 10 grandchildren: James, Linda, Mark, Angie, Jeffrey, Jeffery, Missy, Anna, Christopher and Michelle and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
